Vogue Knitting Winter 2016/17| Colourwork Pullover

Colourwork Pullover Emma Wright

I have some mega exciting news and was overwhelmed when VOGUE KNITTING chose one of  my submissions for the winter 2016/17 issue. If you follow my work you'll know how much I love playing with traditional pattern and houndstooth is my favourite. I especially love puppy-tooth- a scaled down version of it parent. I think injecting colour and finding that harmonious but unique colour combination can really make a difference when modernising a design... plus choosing colours is only my favourite pastime!

It's always really exciting when you receive photography of your design back from the magazine! I was so pleased to see the fun youthful styling and of course a bubblegum pink background... The photography really lends itself to the fun and colourful design this is- also this fit and the yarn is so comfortable to wear. I had never used SimpliCria yarn before and its safe to say I've defiantly made a new friend (in the form of yarn... I should probably get out more I know!) Anyway, I am so excited to see the amazing colour combinations you all pick and would love to know if your as enthused about this 'new to me' yarn as I am?! Please don't forget to log your project here on Ravelry....
